Why do so many people on GLP-1 feel worse before they feel better?
We kept seeing the same pattern: people on Mounjaro, Ozempic and Wegovy who were losing weight, but feeling depleted, foggy, and low. Not because anything was going wrong, but because GLP-1 medications suppress appetite so effectively that getting adequate nutrition becomes genuinely difficult.
The supplement market had no answer for this. Generic electrolyte drinks weren't built for it. General multivitamins didn't address the specific depletions that appetite suppression causes. Sports supplements were loaded with caffeine and adaptogens nobody on a GLP-1 needed.
So we set out to build something that did.
Existing products were built for a different problem
When you take a GLP-1 medication, your appetite drops significantly. That's the point. But it also means you're eating less food and, with it, consuming fewer electrolytes, fewer B vitamins, less zinc, less biotin, and fewer of the micronutrients that keep your energy, cognition, and general wellbeing intact.
This is a specific nutritional challenge. And it requires a specific answer, not a repurposed athlete's product, not a generic wellness supplement, and not a multivitamin designed for a general, non-medicated adult.
Generic electrolyte drinks
Designed for sweat loss, not appetite-driven depletion. Usually miss B vitamins, biotin, zinc, and cognitive support entirely.

Built around a general diet, not a significantly suppressed one. Often use cheap forms with poor absorption, and ignore electrolytes.

Evidence first
Every ingredient in Companion is in there because a clear clinical reason exists for it to be. We don't add ingredients to look impressive on a label, and we don't leave out inconvenient ones to keep costs down.
Form matters
The form of an ingredient determines how well your body can use it. We use methylcobalamin over cyanocobalamin, zinc bisglycinate over zinc oxide, and magnesium glycinate over magnesium oxide, because absorption is the whole point.
